2000-02 S4 Rough Idle...has any one solved this yet?
I have been looking through the archives for 4 hours about this. I just bought a 2002 S4, has had a rough idle from the start. Had the car for 3 days and the check engine light came on. Fault codes were random/multiple misfires, Cylinder 3,4,6 misfires. Dealer replaced 3 injectors and ECU. Got car back, still the same problem. ~1000 miles later, check engine light on again, this time the fault codes were random/multiple misfires, #2 cylinder misfire. Dealer did a "VIC" treatment (fuel system clean) and said it was fixed. NOPE. Got the car back yesterday, still a rough idle. Just got a VAG, so I am going to do some data logging today myself. Any ideas, fixes that worked? Thanks.

Re: Looked at the MAF or looked for an intake leak yet??
The dealer said that they checked for leaks both times, maybe I should do it myself. I asked the dealer about the MAF, but they said that they didn't check it because it didn't set off any fault codes. Maybe I should clean it? Thanks for the input.
