This has been covered on the forum with some sketchy details to date; however, now that the S4s are being delivered has anyone obtained any more firm insurance numbers? Particularly, relative to the A4 2.8Q?

I called Allstate last week to get quotes on an A4 2.8Q, a S4, and just for comparison the BMW 323/8i.

Currently, I'm paying $332.40/6 mo. for a '91 Nissan Sentra in Santa Clara, CA. The results from my Allstate agent:

2000 Audi A4 Quattro + V6 $ 479.40 / 6 mo.
2000 Audi S4 Unknown
2000 BMW 323i $ 479.40 / 6 mo.
2000 BMW 328i $ 556.40 / 6 mo.

My Allstate representative "guessed" that the S4 would be only "marginally" more that the A4 2.8Q. Are people finding that "marginally" is true?

Farmers Insurance still doesn't have the S4 in the computer (as of friday)

I don't have a rate on my S4; just insurance. I gave them my VIN and they thought it was some sort of sport utility vehicle so they're letting one of their rating specialists rate the S4 and will let me know what my rate will be. I tried the $39,000 A4 route, but that fell through when I gave them the VIN.

Just got off the phone with my agent. Here's what I've got.
98 A4QM2.8 $391 for 6 mo.
00 S4 $428 for 6 mo.

Over 25
Married (barely)
Multi-car discount
Carry homeowners through same agency.
