Default 2000 S4 w/51K miles, Audi Assured for $24K???

Hello all,

Im looking to get an S4, B5 platform, SOON. The local dealer has a 2000 (old turbos, etc.) 6 speed with Bose, heated seats, moonroof, NAV, Xenon, silver/black. 51K miles. Certified. The car is tight, and well maintained. 100% stock, NO MODS. Car was traded for a B6 S4. The thing that stopped me was the 6 inch gouge in the middle of the hood, right down to the metal. The remote key was real ratty looking too. I asked to have the hood painted and 2 new keys for this price. I feel this is ALL THE MONEY for this car, which I dont really mind paying, but I want the car right. The dealer didnt know if the car came with any records, hes checking today.

So, as the rental car bill continues everyday, should I get this S4 or hold out and try to find another. All the other local dealers have no selection. I need a car in the next few days...

Thanks all.

John

which should have expired in 03, so this one will expire in december of 05, tops.

Default I got my 2000 CPO S4 w/ 50K for $22,000.

Check the things that cost a lot and the CPO will NOT cover - upper and lower tie rod ends, brakes, clutch, and tires to name a few. For $24 they should make the car PERFECT including rims - any curb rash?

Chances are they only gave around $17K on trade for that car. All they're trying to do is make as MUCH money as possible off you.

Default No, it's 2 years from the time it is sold as "Assured" or the end of the factory warranty...

Whichever comes LAST. In this case, it would be 2 years from when the dealer sells it, as the factory warranty has already expired.

For a 2001.5, 75K, dealer offered me $14.5K. I told him to go #$@%$% himself.
