Ouch, $7410 the first year, $6840 per year there after. $21k out of pocket for a 3 year lease and you just drop it off and walk?. Seems like a lot for something new and shiny that's only new and shiny for the first month. On the other side, 50% depreciation in the first 36 months is actually more at $26k. But in that case you can keep driving it ....

to be honest i don't think that's that bad considering the amount of money down. If you used that guys calculation on any car you'd come up with all the same numbers. Think about it from a financing point. If you put $570 down you'd be financing at least $51K which at 1.9% interest over 5 years is $892 a month. So after 3 years you would've spent $32,112 and that's not including sales tax into the equation. At that point, 3 year old s4 with 36K miles is probably worth maybe upper 20's, low 30's. I mean I guess at that point you should have positive equity, however I hope you would off loan term and the amount of money you put in the car. Also, if you were to decide you wanted another car at that point, I honestly think if you were trading in you would break even and not get any of that equity back. So based off of PDQ356's theory, you'd be paying $32,112 over 3 years and not have anything to show either and in theory be paying $322 more than a lease. All kind of depends how long you want to keep the car for.

To OP, S4's/M3's etc don't lease very well. If you but if you are dead set on leasing I would say that's not a terrible deal based off your #'s. I'm assuming that is with 3 years/36K niles. If it's 4 years I would say no.
