3rd or 4th syncro out. where to rebuilt tranny and cost or any rs4 tranny for sale?

I think it's a couple grand for the basic (standard gearing) rebuild.

$4084 tranny rebuild = ballah status

I'm at 34K and mine is doing that on 3-4 shifts above 5K
 

What were the symptoms of your tranny failing?? I need some data to give to my doubting service guy at the dealer(I'm still under warranty)as he says he's never heard of 3/4s going out.

Maybe I could get the dealer to replace mine with a short geared Stasis one (dreaming I know).
