Default 40K Service Techtard

So I drop my car off for the 40k this morning. I tell the service rep. that I need to show the tech how to start the car. He comes outside to drive the car from valet and I proceed to instruct immobilizer usage.

After I show him the steps and he starts it up he asks, "Can you just disable it so we don't have to tell the carwash guy how to start it?"

My response: *pause, pause* No, the purpose of the immobilizer is so it cannot be easily disabled. And DO NOT WASH THE CAR.

nuff

Default No offense, but that's a dangerous idea

I'm all for using an immobiliser, but why let the stealer know how to override it?

Call me paranoid, but the more people who know about it, the greater the risk that loose lips will result in your baby being stolen
