not sure if you picked the best location for blast mounting, you might get some watter there
when driving in the rain...and they don't like water believe me!

Thanks for the update. I've wanted to upgrade to 55w for a while now but couldn't justify paying...
$400-500 for something that should have been less than $200. I'm glad you found this. Also, thanks for being the first one to try it out. Many of us are skeptics until proven otherwise.

2nd I would place the ballasts (both sets) into a sealed container (e,g. project box)

No problem...and I know what you mean...I'm usually a skeptic, but I thought this was something
that I could take on myself, and not to expensive to be the guinea pig on...

Re: Ballast mounting
I see a few mentions of people concerned over mounting positions of the ballasts due to prospect of water damage. Please, mount them wherever you want, they are 100% water-proof, and if they fail on that account we'll replace them under warranty anyhow.

No need to. Ballasts are water proof, and the seller said that even if they fail due to water
they are still covered under the lifetime replacement warranty. Had them installed for a few months now and no problems. So don't worry too much about where you mount them.
