About to order ECS tie rod ends. Is the optional hardware kit necessary?

I asked a similar question... My opinion after learning...
If you're in a salty area, yes you should get it.
If you have a TON of miles, get it.
If you live in a no salt area, and don't have a lot of miles, don't bother.
I live in Cali, and my car has 55k. I did not get the kit.
Having said this, I'll prolly snap a bolt of when I do the work.

From what I understand...
The hardware supplied in the accessory kit isn't the stuff that rusts in place. It's the actual tie rod. However I haven't pulled one apart yet to see where the issues are, so I would confirm this before taking my word for it.
