Default Advice Needed!!! No leak found, but reocurring low coolant!

Hey guys and gals need some help. I've had this problem about three times already. It seems that my coolant is possibly burning off. My low coolant light comes on and the reservoir is empty, yet temp gauge stays dead center. This problem occurs more often in the summer even when i'm not running the A/C. I have brought this into my dealership three times already. I think this is a lemon but not too sure. I got a 2000 S4 with just about 80K on it. Any advice?

Default Probably the O rings on the hard lines located in the cylinder valley...

Coolant tends to steam out of them when they're bad, leaving no trace of where the coolant is going other than a vague smell on occasion.

Default Ahhh, I have this problem

Any tips on fixes? How dangerous is it (if I monitor coolant level and fill up when it needs to be filled)?

Default It's not one of those "hard" jobs, just a lots of stuff to move out of the way.

No real tricks, it's a straightforward swap.

Default I Had This EXACT Problem..Couldn't Figure It Out...When My Timing Belt & Water Pump Were

recently replaced...VIOLA....BAD WATER PUMP...That was the cause of my leak. NOTHING was visible in the engine compartment other than the coolant would ALWAYS go low and stay there - no matter how many times I filled it. You need to have the water pump checked - if it wasn't replaced recently. If u haven't gotten y'or timing belt (+ H2O pump) replaced..Do It Now...You are in the danger zone @ 80k mi.

Default It's the factory coolant overrun pump.

The O-Rings leak there... You have to pull the intake manifold and replace the O-rings... IIRC, last time we did one, there were a few suspect rubber hoses that we replaced at the same time...
