Default Ahhh... so nice! (3 pictures)

Picked up my '00 Silver/Silver S4 a week ago in Thousand Oaks and drove over to Vegas to visit the folks and find some empty roads.

Alas, there are 500,000 more people living in Vegas since I left 10 years ago (no joke - highest growth rate in the US), so empty roads are hard too find...

Default Hoover/Boulder Dam 1

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/jtg_s4_2_640.jpg">

It used to be called "Boulder Dam", then it was "Hoover Dam", but the locals have always used both names. I have no idea what it's offically called now.

Default Hoover/Boulder Dam 2

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/jtg_s4_1_640.jpg">

So much traffic these days across the dam. I was lucky to get a break in traffic to get this shot (and the other). Lots of tourists and even more heavy truck traffic.

There was a proposal to build a bridge a mile downstream or so, but I guess it fell through (the proposal, not the bridge).
