see snow in the winter actually clean the snow off their S4s without doing anything to the paint? It seems like using a brush to clean the snow is not a good idea. I guess the west coast folks don't really have to worry about this.

Any suggestions?

Just take it to a DIY wash place and spray the car down to get salt off

Default Washing it yourself is teh best...

Make sure to use a low pressure spray, and spray obliquely to the paint surface. Perpendicular spraying simply grinds the salt into the paint, whereas oblique sprayign will lift it off. Do a good rinse then wash with your favorite soap.

I was actually talking about getting the snow off your car after it snows.

A good coat of wax before winter should be enough.
