My boss has the Acura and is convinced that because she has more hp (260) than an S4, she could beat it. I know that it's not all about hp, especially off the line...but the question still remains as I don't know the pounds of torque for either car. Thanks.

Pure numbers don't tell the whole story. The S4 BLOWS IT AWAY!!...
With AWD, and torque at a rock bottom 1800 RPM, the S4 puts the power to the ground WAY better than the Acura. Also, since the acura is front wheel drive, as you accelerate, all the weight shifts off of the drive wheels, ala wheel spin. No chance. Also, as many of us know, while the S4 in the US is quoted at 250hp, the European car, with exactly the same 0 to 60 and 1/4 mile times is quoted at 260. My insurance guy says it has something to do with corporate taxes (don't know if I believe it). But in any case, the S4 should have NO trouble having the Acura for breakfast, with plenty of room left over to take a mustang or two for lunch.

Type-S's are fast but no match for the S4...
I have a friend at work who has one and we have raced several times and not once has he kept within 2 car lengths. He is good driver, but off the line the S4 gains such an advantage they can't make it up.
