Driving 80 in the fast lane noticed a funny noise. I turned off the ipod and listened for the noise again.... no noise. Kept driving but with the music off. Noticed that the car was shuddering a little but thought it might be the road.

A few seconds later a car pulls up next to me and the driver is pointing at my passenger side rear tire. I glance in the rearview mirror and their is white smoke pouring out from my car across the freeway. I give the driver next to me a wave of thanks and glide to a stop on the shoulder. It took me 10 minutes to change the tire and I was back on the road. Had to stop to get air in the spare though as it was a little low. It pays to check.

The real bummer is that I got a lead on a day long gig fixing computers and before I even got their the money was spent. I hate it when that happens. It was a break even day if that.

Here are the photos... I'm going to have to go back to the place I got the tires since they have less than 8000 miles on them and I've had them for about 6 months. Damn blowtenzas.

pulled over. Look at all the tires, they're all inflated. Just about to stand up straight when I see it. A nice big nail in my left rear tire. Get to my appt, guy wastes my time for 2 hours. Change tire in parking lot. Ah well.
