Hey everyone, I finally hit 300 miles today! The best time of night to put miles on this car is really late in the evening when there's hardly any traffic around. Earlier I was complaining about the shift from 3rd to 4th, I was just holding the shifter the wrong way! Now every gear is comfortable, although 5th and 6th do seem quite far away from 4th. I did stall once today, but I doubt I'll do it again as I've got slow launching down pat. I tried a slightly stronger 2k launch (1/4 on the gas) and I really liked it...I can't wait for the AWD 2k clutch drop (mixed in with a progressive WOT) once I hit 1000 miles. I'm starting to shift faster between gears (even though I usually on go 1/4 on the gas and only between 3000 and 4000 rpm). This car hauls *** even by doing this! I can only imagine how fast people will disappear in my rear view once I can go full on gas with fast shifting. People try to keep up with me on wide 90 degree turns, but they can't! As a final bonus, as I was returning home today I passed three guys in a Saab. As I passed their car the rear passenger stuck his head out the window and said, "oh ****!"

At least some people in this town recognize the car, it doesn't seem like anyone knows what it is. I suppose this is a good thing for stealth. A few muscle cars and BMWs (probably because they watch Speedvision?) are the only cars that try to race me now. Every beamer I've met has tried to race me (what's up with that?). Getting 1/4 on the gas and only going to 4000rpm all the way to 40mph-45mph actually isn't all that bad, hopefully this will hold me off until I get closer to 1000 miles.
