Anthricate Paint & Tracksport Height Q's
I just got my wheels fixed and repainted. Everyone of them was bent due to the streets of Los Angeles and Northern Cali. This time around I have decided to set my ride height @ 3.5'' from rim lip to fender all around.
I have a question.. Do most people use the measurement from fender to ground given the gound is flat? Or, do you prefer to measure the distance from the fender to the wheel lip?
Note: Due to the fact the engine is in the front, the front tire squats slightly lower than the rear. Hence if you try and set the ride height via fender to wheel lip the car tilts slightly forward. In contrast, if you measure the distance from the fender to the ground there is more 'gap' in the front vs. the rear.
I was considering raising the car another quarter inch all around to insure against future rim damage.. any suggestions?
