Any good alternatives to crimp clamps? If not, do any chain auto-parts stores have them? And...

I hate crimp clamps. They are a pita to get off . I use the little clamps with a screw on top, but
not the ones that are one piece, they often break, they sell them at autozone etc, they have a little bolt on top and a nut they go into , and they are very easy to tighten

Do not insult lesser primates by putting them on an equal level with chain store grease monkeys. The real primates can give you nasty bites, tear your face off, throw feces with incredible precise aim, AND they have lawyers.
Some of those chain stores sound real good "free replacement pads for life". Yeah. cheap pads that might last 20k miles and you have to pay full labor every time they are changed. Then, if the pads are not as grippt as stock, you won't stop as well. If they are more abrasive than stock, you'll be buying new rotors. And those "chains" are franchises, no way to tell how honest of competent any one of the other might be.
You'd be better off going to an indy Audi shop, if you can find a competent one.
If you are a Costco member (and I think Sams & BJ's does this as well) they will refer you to a local Audi dealer who gives 10% to members. Any other dealer with any brains will agree to match the price without any hesitation. So...could be a $50 membership saves you $100 right away. AAA shops should give a similar member deal, but getting 10% off at Audi, that's a good start.
