I want an exhaust that gives increased performance with an understated sound. My last car was an M3 and I want an exhaust note that is similar in sound. I have ruled out MTM because of the price and the VM2 because I heard the install was a nightmare. So now I am considering the new Borla and the Scorpion. Also, I heard that Borla makes the Neuspeed exhaust, is this true? Any comments/impressions of these two exhausts would be very helpful. Thanks.<p>Laser 2000

True, the VM2 has had it's issues, but i believe that the UUC guys were pretty helpful to those who had problems.

I on the other hand have 0 problems with the VM1...my installer was really quite amazed at how well it fit.......and i love the sound.

You -might- want to give them a call anyways....it's a good unit.
As for the Borla and Scorpion, the Borla sounded really nice on a friend's S4, kind of a nasal sound..an aggressive nasal sound =)

Scorpion....well they are shiny....but the mufflers are crimped. MTM used to have relations with the builders of scorpion early on but that relationship is no more.

I agree with Cheng. I love the VM1! I know someone with VM2, and he didn't have any troubles...

and when we were leaving the dyno place for dinner ole Chengy’s VM1 screaming up beind me made me want to pull over and get out of the way 8-)

Just got back from a spirited drive....ooooohhhkaaayy I AM getting tired of the sandblaster. It sounds like an american car...WWSSSSSSSSHHHHHHSSSSSSSS. The growl is replaced by the sound of hissing gasses after about 2krpm.
