Default Any REAL gain with RS4 Cams, Mani, TB

Is it worth the extra cash?? If I can gain 20hp I think that is worth it what do you guys think? Anyone have any dyno sheets Stock S4 vs RS4 Cams mani TB ?? I tried searching the forums but the answer was kinda washy... I am hoping by now someone has dyno'd and tested this stuff

Default search for monster allroad in the archives

New Dimensions built up an allroad with dyno pulls between stages. IIRC, RS4 throttle body, manifold, intake cam, and ported heads were worth about 30 hp.

Ya with ported heads I don't wanna go that crazy =] Trying to find someone that knows what they are doing with porting heads is tough.

If I remember the monster allroad saga, the gains only showed up when the head work was done. The idea of all this work is to open up the intake tract for better flow. It only takes one restriction (the intake ports of the stock head) to choke things off. Further, the mismatch of the (large) opening in the mainifold and the (small) opening in the head will create a step in the passageway walls. This is *disastrous* to flow. I believe you could take a step backwards by using that combo without port-matching the heads.

After you search, you might try contacting Jason Leone, the ex-manager of New Dimensions. He orchestrated the monster allroad project. He's in the process of launching his own business, Streetwerke. It's supposed to open in two weeks, so I imagine he's a bit busy right now. I think his e-mail is visible in his posts.

It does make power. The head porting is the key though.
