Yes, you can see it when you take the bottom plastic shield off.

Default I remember some tuner using the bar from an A4 saying it was hollow, and they were going . . .

to let the shocks do some work. They also said it was lighter and helped getting the car to rotate. I think I read it in a magazine.

stock, the front is 28mm and the rear is 16 (FYI, BTW, FWIW)

No wonder these things understeer. Makes the Nuespeed 22mm sound reasonable.
