I'm good at fabricating stuff..this electrical stuff scares me..
I want to install it either in cup holder, under the steering wheel or in the center console pen slot...likely the pen slot.
Mark P and 85-4kq-girl have done good writeups but not bullet proof enough for me...
Have you done the pen slot install? If so, what type of mod has to be done to the pen slot to hold the TT.. ??
I'll need a tech article on removing the armrest..that I figure I can find in the archives..
I am scared stiff of snipping wires under the dash!

Well, if you're scared of snipping wires...
...The turbo timer install is going to kinda suck for you.
You really only need to snip one, but it can be kind of a pain to find.
The worst part is tapping into the ignition wire and 12v wire behind the cluster. There are so many wires back there...I was pretty unsure if I had the correct wires the first couple times i did it. And Mark P's instructions are great...but not specific enough in regards to which wires to tap.
The center console is easy to remove:
1. Remove the shifter surround by pulling up on it.
2. Remove the cupholder below the armrest by pulling up on with some force, remove the 9/16" (or 7/16", cant remember) nut.
3. Remove the rear ash tray, there are 2 nuts of the same size (9/16" or 7/16")...remove those. You'll need a 3-5" ratchet extension to make it easy.
4. There are (2) 5/16" bolts on each side of the console, with plastic covers over them to make them discrete. If you are sitting in the drivers seat, one is towards the very front of the center console piece...just before the shifter, on the side, almost inbetween the seat and the console (kinda hard to describe, i'll see if there is a pic somewhere).
5. Pull the console towards the back of the car, but it won't go very far because there is still a Cat5 cable holding it down...just unplug the RJ45 connector that is keeping the Cat5 cable plugged into the armrest. Then the console will be free.
I think thats everything...if you're good at fabricating things, should be easy for you to cut a hole the correct size for the turbo timer...its been done numerous times. You'll have to extend the wiring to put the turbo timer that far away.
This is the latest place i put mine:

I've bookmarked that..thanks!
I shouldn't say I am afreaid of cutting wires...that's extreme..
But if it means I the difference between starting the car or not...I'm tentative..
Did you run the wiring harness under the console?

Yeah...The wires runs pretty easily under the console...
...you can even remove the cat5 cable that is in there and use the same path for your wiring. There are some pre-existing clips there to hold the cat5 cable from getting in the way of the e-brake...just run the wiring along those clips.
