my car wont crank, i went into looking into the starter motor/ign switch but read codes first and this is what i found:

18010 - Power Supply Terminal 30: Voltage too Low
P1602 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
18048 - Internal Control Module: EEPROM Error
P1640 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

i cleared the codes, and tried to start the car, but still no luck. in STFA, there doesnt seem to be much info. someone said the ECU is fried ... but i dont buy it. shouldnt the car still crank without the ECU?

i also am able to play with cruise control programs (APR code) so it is reading from the ECU still

im just looking into some easy fixes before messing with starter motor replacement. apparently i have to remove the alternator just to get to the exciter wire for the starter motor ... any other ideas?

unplug the ECU and see if she cranks?

ecu is fried, or eeprom corrupted. Needs to be replaced or reflashed.

Crank as in turn over but not start. No spark will be sent to motor without ECU AFAIK.

If you've ever seen an ECU flash go wrong, the car will just crank and crank but not start.
