Anyone experience creaking noises from rear suspension?

I don't notice the noise while driving, but when the car is stationary. It is especially noticable when I get in or get out of the car. Also, if I press down on the rear part of the car, it makes creaking noises. Probably not a problem, but was wondering.

Over bumpy roads, the rear of my car makes a lot of noise.

I'm thinking it might be the strut bearings or some other suspension component? With people in the back seat, it doesn't do it.

I also notice an occasional "clunk" from the rear over sharp bumps, but it doesn't happen often.

only over speed bumps for me

I've got 18's with 225/40's so mine does it more than it did with stock wheels.

Do you have different wheels?

Spray silicon lube on your sway bar bushings

I had this problem when I upgraded the sway bars on my Miata many years ago. The upgraded bushings are polyurethane instead of rubber so they squeak when rubbing against metal.

Nope. I'm still stock (till the fall, heheh).

I get that, too, going up my parents' steep driveway.

It's definitely unnerving.

Could it be EDL kicking in?

My driver's side rear brake line squeaks as it plays within its support bracket - very annoying
