Anyone getting movement of their Carbotech Bobcat pads on the ST-40 caliper?...
I installed a set recently and get clicking noises when first applying the brakes. Everything seems properly lined up so I'm wondering if the pad itself is a tad small for the caliper. Or, maybe I forgot some trick that will keep the pads from moving around (I did apply some Kragen anti-squeal to the back of each pad, though).

I have the same issues. (more)
At the same time I also replaced the rotors (Slotted.) I re-built my brakes about 5 months ago with new seals and pistons. I still get a creaking noise when I apply the brakes. I am not very happy with my carbotech pads.. They are too soft. I just drove my buddies car with the same brakes, but with the pads supplied by stoptech, the brake feel and the stoping power is just so much better..

2nd. I think you are both correct....
Bobcats feel soft (compressible) but offer great modulation. You do have to press harder, though.
Ultimates aren't as "soft" but they have more of an on/off feel (similar to OEM S4 brakes) and they dust like crazy. Bobcats are silent and have very little dust.
I'm considering trying either Ferodo DS2500 or Pagid RS4-2-1 black for the street now...if I can't solve this Bobcat issue.

No issues here with the Bobcats in the ST-40s.
Especially if the pads are new (and thick), there shouldn't be much movement when they are seated in the caliper. Bed, see if it goes away.
