u are the man! ok i have another ? what is the cylinder position and firing order
cause it says put cylinder 3 in TDC on the crankshaft and on the CAMS... i can put it on TDC on the crankshaft, but do i do it for the cams?? are there indicators?

It just says cylinder 3 on there cuz it's talking about the passenger side head. If you have the
crank lock pin in and both heads are off just make sure the larger holes on the cam wings are facing inside.

Yeah you're gonna have to time it all again anyway when you put the TB back on. Hopefully you
marked to rotation of the TB before you took it off so you put it on in the same direction, or you're using a new one. Did you have to take both heads off or did you just do a head gasket on one side? Keep in mind if you have to turn the crank to get the crank lock pin in and you still have one head in place you'll have to turn that cam 1/2 as much in the same direction. Ideally you should have put the pin in before removing the head.

right, the crank pin puts cylinder 1 at TDC right? which is first cylinder on pass side????
as long as thats at TDC and the 2 cam gear bigger holes are facing each other on the inside when installing then im good right?

If you have to turn the cam like 180* to get to TDC though you'll push a piston right into an open valve if you have the other head still on. I don't know how much you have apart but if you have to turn the crank 180* CW, simultaneously turn the cam 90*CW since the cams turn at half the speed of the crank. If you have both heads off it'll be tit though just aim the big holes inside.
