on running FATS...I have the VAG-com and would like to log some times when I get my car back.....I did a search and did not find anything.
Car is currently getting new high pressure power steering line replace.
p.s. I know what FATS is just don't know how to log it....thanks in advance.

Only because I like you....
FATS is the amount of time it takes from ~4200 to ~6500 in 3rd gear so just go WOT in 3rd gear from somewhere in the 3k RPM range to redline and use some math skills to figure out how long it took through the FATS RPM range. Logging block 003 for this is what most people do, but you can theoretically use any block that has RPM. It's just nice to see airflow and timing curves as well.
Damn, your sig really does rock! I can't wait to be full stage 3 out on the track and pass my dad. He says when that happens, he'll seriously consider getting a chip for the 996tt...talk about motivation to pass him :P

The problem is you now have different gearing. I forgot about that. It won't be apples to apples.
I bet you can pull low 3s on 91 octane with your setup now but it won't be the same RPM range *and* same speed as other manual S4s who run this test. This has been discussed before regarding TIPs vs Manuals and it just doesn't work for comparison.
