anyone have k04`s sitting around can u check to see if yours has a lip right above the exhaust wheel

anyone have k04`s sitting around can u check to see if yours has a lip right above the exhaust wheel
is that common?is it there for a reason or can i grind that down?

that lip pertruding in the path of the air flow doesnt hinder it?why is it their ,jacob?.....
that has to cause turbulance that cant be any good when your trying to get the air out as fast as possible.

it seems as if the housing shifted when being cast,like the housing was two peices that were not...
connected right causing a lip right by the exhaust wheel.
