Default Anyone have a MAP sensor go bad on them? (Follow up post from saturday morning)

See background story here:

<a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/2236354.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/2236354.phtml</a>

Started by taking your advise and pressure testing. The test only revealed leaks around the injectors, which I am addressing. I pulled the injectors and reseated them and making a better, yet not perfect, seal.

The car was still driving like crap and throwing the pressure sensor code:

16622 - Manifold Pressure / Boost Sensor (G31): Signal too High
P0238 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

I went and putt-putted around my neighborhood and did some really basic logging. Block 115 is below. And no, I am not able to get 1.5 bar of boost at 1600 rpms! Looks like I have a faulty map sensor.

My question to you guys is how could an "overboost" blow the map sensor out of the water? Has anyone else had this problem? I previosly ran 28psi with my k04 setup and had zero problems.

Default That part does not fail often, I cracked mine when installing my bipipe, the tech at the dealer

who was installing my K04's, Dp's, clutch etc. noticed the crack and replaced it, he mentioned that he has never had to replace one, it actually took awhile to get the replacemen. Take it for whatever it's worth.

I would agree based on that code. unplugging the MAP sensor will throw a similar code.

Since you're not getting many responses, I'll throw in my 1 cent. I agree with your diagnosis.
