Default Anyone have Squealing/Squeaking S4 front brakes????

I brought my car to the dealership to ask them what they could do about my brakes as the squealing is driving me nuts. The car only has 22K miles and never been tracked. All stock. The adviser told me that all new brakes come with semi-metallic brake pads that they are prone to squealing. I think that is a bunch of bull. That means that 90+% of cars on the road will have squealing brakes. What a jerk. Anyway, what have other dealerships done for you regarding this annoying problem. Please let me know how to approach this problem so that I can get this fixed under warranty. Thanks!

Default There is an Audi TSB that suggests grinding the rotors

Scottsdale Audi did it for me at it worked great.

There is a higher metallic percentage in our pads that tends to glaze the rotors.

Default Where can I get these Remsa Gold Racing Pads. It's like the Holy Grail...

Atlantis
UFO's
P Diddy's singing abilities
N' Sync's rhythm
M_Dukar's launching abilities

there's no evidence to indicate they exist for the S4's.

Default I'd reccomend Mintex as Pagids will probably squeal.

Also try Ferodo.

These may or may not exist. Give Todd@AWE a call or AMS in Cali (advancedmotorsport.com)

Default Definitely Remsa - They are used on the Champion Audi R8's in ALMS.

Really.
