Yes with my previous '00 S4 (before chipping), but not w/ my '01 S4 (is and will remain unchipped)

Not when stock, not now at 350 hp (MTM). Never blown one.

Yes it is very possible. No turbo problems... just no boost... the higher rpm > power loss

Default Yep, within 2 months of owning the car, had a tear. Turbos make a louder sound ever since
In fact I think it was torn when I purchased it, but I didnt notice it till I drove another 2.7T Tip. Was wondering why my car did not feel as quick. Must have been a very slight tear that finally got bigger and I could hear a whooshing sound.

Default That is an inherent problem with the tearing, unfortunately...
the tear can start out small (as w/ mine) with minimal and barely noticeable power loss and gradually get worse slowly, making it difficult to notice the subtlety/gradually changing lack of power. I remember thinking, "damn this car sure seemed quicker when it was new... I must be too use to it."
