Anyone install the CAT CAMS on their Stg3? the only reference I can find is on
some of the crazier drag cars.
Where are the gains? does it require a redline over 7000 to take advantage? any other valvetrain mods required?
Yeah, one vendor is offering me a great deal on them.....thinking out loud.

http://www.catcams.be/800x600/NAVpages/audi_nav.htm</a

Here's some of the info that I got from the vendor
Here's some sound bites from a few emails:
CAT is Belgian company
that is very well know in Europe. I use them for my 1.8T cams. I used
their 3652 grind to make 715HP.

--------------------------------------------
The will predominantly affect the midrange and higher rpms; I
wouldn't expect a difference at low rpm. Gas mileage will be determined by
how you drive it. I would expect a bit less at normal cruise speeds.

Basically, I am being offered a deep discount for an "after" dyno pull.
So much money.....I am wondering what the gains would be....I really dont want to raise the rev limiter w/o worrying about the rods.
And here's the picture to get more people to view this thread.
Note the price on the pump for 100 octane:

Yes, that's $2.99/gallon for 100oct leadfree

At least the polish guys don't seem to suffer from too cammy of an idle
