eh? howso? they'd have to change the MAF system to get a dual intake...

Default Here is an idea to get a dual intake.

Instead of a Y intake pipe, build an X intake pipe. At the intersection of the pipe put the MAF. So at this point the MAF will be located in the center of the motor.

Default I think the MAF would get way hot with that setup

Don't think there'd be anyplace to put the driver side filter either

The center of an engine as oppose to directly over the ot housing of a turbo and manifold???

Default I'm sure you've felt the y-pipe after you drive for awhile

you can cook your dinner on it, it's hot as hell. The manifold and turbo have a heatshield. Of course I can't guarantee it but I'd bet the bottom of the maf feels cooler than the y-pipe after some spirited driving.
