Be sure to post a how-to if you put one in. I'm interested to know if the rear glass has to come out

Default headliner, not roof panel... the C/F roof panel is going to become a reality soon

i am just trying to make sure i can afford to do it right with a new liner and all

Default the rear glass doesn't need to come out. It actually quite easy but you want to be careful...

with the side pillars. They tend to crack if you try to remove them. The headliner, once the sunvisors and a few other things are removed, slides back to the rear to release it.

Default Duuuude. Cool.

They're difficult to remove because they are glued fairly liberally in the rear. Maybe it'd be worthwhile to take your existing headliner to an upholstery shop and have it modified?

Trust me, they are not glued in the rear.
