I got tired of my dealer's horsing around, and e-mailed Audi myself. I was told today that Pearl White IS available as an option on the S4, "by special order only." I've requested followup information, namely order code and MSRP. I'll post that information when I receive it.

I just sent an e-mail via the AudiUSA site, and that's where the response originated.

I still haven't gotten a response to the question from my dealer. Those people really are useless.

Interesting note: I believe Pearl White was the only option on early 90's S-cars. Could be wrong.

You are correct. My wife has a 95.5 S6 wagon and the pearl white was the only extra cost factory option offered. Her car came with everything standard, including F and R heated seats, sunroof, Bose, and telephone, all things I have to pay extra for on my soon to arrive S4.

true about the options on the new S4, but I believe the orig. S's were $50k or so, right?

I still have my '91 200 Quattro window sticker. The only option is "Pearlescent White Clearcoat Metallic" for $470. The bottom line: S42,205.00. My '92 S4 with no options (but Pearl White was an option that year as well) stickered at $44,155.00, which included a Cellular Phone that was a $1,000 delete option on my 1991. They were both wonderful cars, and I expect to be even more thrilled by my S4, if the Swine Decision Makers ever let it out of Houston.
