Default ATTN: nasa racer...question on turbos....

when you had problems with your turbos, were you able to run full boost? or was your turbos lagging?

Default when the turbos started making their fatal sound...

they were showing full boost and requested vs. actual matched pretty well (Frank data logged it). Now today...when I lost boost the turbos WERE sort of able to nearly make full boost but it was clear they were working really hard and not quite cutting it...HOPEFULLY this indicates a leak and not some catostrophic failure of the SECOND set.

When you have enough problems with an S4 you realize the VAG only tells you you just HAD a major problem..."engine fell out error" or "oil all over your windshield because you just threw a rod error". You can have ALL SORTS of problems and the car will appear to be normal on the VAG.
