I still don't understand why they call Northern California, northern. It's in the middle

True Northern Calif - Ukiah North
Having grown up behind Redwood Curtain, we never understood it either. I constantly had to explain to folks that I was 320 miles north of S.F. (In and around Eureka) and it wasn't in Oregon yet.
