Default Audi is pulling the old switch-a-roo on me...

Well, I found out yesterday why my car has apparently been sailing the Atlantic ocean for the last month. I guess I ordered my car late in my dealer's allocation schedule, so I was notified that I would be receiving a 2001 model car. I originally ordered my 2000 model w/ the sports interior, so they are substituting the sports package to reallign it with the new options line-up. However, I do get the new longer warrenty, which is nice. My car is Santorin Blue, which is close enough to black (see Paul3290's post below for some pics of a black 2001 S4 w/ aluminum mirrors) so that the aluminum side mirrors should still look good. At least now you don't have to squint to tell the difference between an S4 and an A4. The down side is that my price is going up $240. Not a big deal, especially with the longer warrenty. I am still getting the car below MSRP, so it's all good. According to the dealer, the car should be in the US in a few days, so I assume he means the end of the week. It'll probably sit at the docks for a few days after that and then take 2 or 3 more days to get to the dealership after it is loaded on the truck. Hopefully, I will have it in about two weeks. It's about time! I'm getting tired of driving my mom's Saab 9-5. It's a great car, to be sure, but it ain't no M3 or S4
