Default Is this avant a good deal? Clean Title 2001 Audi S4 Avant 99k mi 6spd 1 owner no upgrades stock $10k

I found a 1 owner stock 01 S4 Avant 6spd for $10k.

Clean title, no rust, or issues but will need the timing belt service done right away which will add another $1500. So basically $12000 out the gate.

It helps it is a 1 owner, 6spd and clean but 99k is high mi. Price seems good but is it one to chase? I am also considering a lower mileage stage 3 avant but its 2.5x the price and 26k mi less (2 years of driving).

TIA

Yes, that's a good deal. Avant's sell for much more than sedan's and a comparable sedan = $12k+

Default 25k for the stg3 is 25k out the box or...

10k for the stock one and do stg3 kit for $8-10k and do the timing belt while your at it for like $500 and your stg 3 for $20k or under with 99k mi or stg 3 for $25k with 75k mi. Is 25k mi worth $5k? $5 per mile Your choice! What color you like better? Who did the stg3 kit? was it a good job? Do you really wan't the stg 3 car? What will you do with 450 hp? Can you afford to maintain it? Did you already ask yourself these questions? Hope this helps...

Default I agree w/ S4gasm - if car is in good condition, price is suspiciously low

must checked out thoroughly by qualified mech/tech - if it does check out ok, then it seems to be a great deal

Default Good deal. Just keep in mind it probably needs all the typical failure prone parts whereas the

stage 3 avant was probably maintained by an **** retentive fool like most of us and all those parts are likely to have been replaced already.

Disagree. $10k for a 99k mile car (even if it's an Avant) sounds about right.

Well, then folks are crazy. No way I'd pay > $10k for a 99k mi. B5.
