What is the intended use?
For an everyday street car that will rarely see WOT for more then a few seconds at a time then 550 crank is probably 'safe'. If you plan to track the car or race the car I would not go over 500 crank if you want it to be reliable.

street mostly but probably an occasional run down the track.any recommendations on turbos?? the only thing i have right now is a set of p&p heads and a 3" ss exhaust.looking to make around 550 to 600 crank.

^^^ To give the credence this advice deserves, Bauer has spoken with a race engineer directly
And 500 crank was his figure for a race motor. However your street car will never see that kind of abuse, and his company probably had to stand behind that number. Again, YMMV

Dahlback has reportedly found the limits
Dahlback has a junk pile of blown engines in Sweden from testing. They go over 550 HP crank only with stronger internals and an RS4 block. But if you are not tracking it you might get a stock block to live with more HP, at least for a while.
