Are the B5 S4 rear brake pads the same as a B5 A4

I searched the archive and only came up with one resonse that said yes. Can any one confirm?

Definitely same size; not 100.00% sure they're the same compound.

They are interchangeable, if that's what you mean.

I was mainly concerned with interchangability but the compound difference makes me wonder now...

I've seen some manufacturers making S4 specific rear pads and A4 specific pads while others offer a pad only for an A4 or at least on the page I'm looking at for brakes. I would imagine the compound difference will be negligible though. Time to do some more research it would seem.
