believe it or not.. most relatives are not into cars at all
We went down to a rental house with relatives and plan to go back down for the weekend this Friday. The topic of vehicles came up when one of the guys started talking about his new chevy envoy SUV. I eventually mentioned that I was VERY happy with my S4 with the 450hp turbo kit.
The strange thing is there was nothing but blank stares.. so I didn't go on about the car. So the conversation drifted back to golf, and my blank stares I think I'll take the X-box w/forza and steering wheel down there this weekend

Hmmm, most of my relatives are car knowledgeable. Mom, Dad, Sister, Uncles, etc. Get..
a new family, or give 'em a ride in your Ko4'd beast! I promise questions will be asked very quickly :-)

hehe.. yep. We took the jetta down the last time. We'll take the S4 this weekend
The area looks fairly safe for the S4's headlights so we'll drive it down there this weekend It's in Duck, NC.

I spent a few hours introducing my dad to his 2.7T engine in the allroad
that they bought a couple of years ago which is about to come off of warranty.
He's a car nut (has been restoring a '64 356C for about 12 years now and drives an M5) but is less than thrilled about learning his way around an engine which seems to be designed to keep the hack mechanic completely frustrated.

I think the situation is worse than that...
Most people in this country look upon car enthusiasts as reckless and dangerous -- people that need to be punished and controlled. That blank stare Dave got when he mentioned his 450 hp car was obviously because he is a maniac! Who else would need so much power. :-(
