Bent valve, cyl 5 middle intake. what to do? go ballz deep!
So i have a bent valve 0 compression on cyl 5.
Just got new k04s in jan, i'm thinking into doing some updates like the new Blouch 997/k04.
Prob going to send the head to piggie emailed him with some questions waitting for response.
front
150 170
0 170
160 160
rear
So for the blouch turbos should i build a little of the engine? Do valve job on both sides? rs4 cams? Better bolts? rs4 or 034 gasket?
wha would you guys do?

How did the valve bend? I would recommend...
removing and machining both heads (hot-tank, cut the valveseats, deck the surfaces), clean and cut the mating surfaces on the valves and reassemble with new seals, gaskets, headgaskets (after checking out and cleaning the pistons and block mating surface).
If its worse than just bent valves (piston, ring or rod problems), you'll be looking at a whole engine rebuild so look into stronger connecting rods at that point.
Upgrading to RS4 or MTM headgasket will lower your compression, giving you less off-boost power, but allowing you to run more boost and/or timing safely.
The Blouch hybrids definitely seem to be worthwhile in my experience with them.

nope didn't even finish putting back togheter
just did a compression check, after my mistake and it was done.
again was just one valve on cyl 5. middle inatke valve.
edit
i finished putting the belt on right timing, i just moved the cm back to where was suppose to be.
but it was too late.
and did a compression test.

very sure no other damage, enige was not started after
my mistake.
Os bottom end should be good. So should the other head like you can see the numbers.
Would you still do both heads? Is vast able to do this type of valve work? avg cost?
do you guys do? how about soft?
thanks
