use a hairdryer to heat the thing and the stick-um. then curl a corner and should peel off.

Default i've used WD-40, BUT....

make sure you clean it off well with a degreaser or soap and then wax the area.

put WD-40 on a cloth until damp and also soak the sticker as best you can. it will loosen the adhesive and allow you to pull it off...most liekly in pieces.

i never liked the idea of a hair dryer blowing at 120+ degrees on my clear coat... to each his own.

Default Won't clear-coat gets warmer than 120 just being parked outside on a hot day?

Guess it depends a little bit on what color your paint is, though.

Default exactly! but it gets hot evenly all over, not in a concentrated spot...

or maybe I'm just being paranoid?

Default Maybe you should just use a really big hair dryer :-)

I'm not sure it makes much difference... With a hair dryer you're heating it pretty slowly. It's not like using a heat gun or anything since it works by convection.

As for it being in a concentrated spot, yes, that's true, but the temperature gradient is pretty gradual over the surface. Not much different than if you parked your car in the partial shade of a tree.
