Default Big decision to make....need ABT, MTM, X-chip users help....

I'm getting my downpipes in a few weeks to add to my current stage 2 car. Right now, I'm running MTM ECU and Borla exhaust. Anyway, I'm going to upgrade my ECU and trying to figure out what to use. I can get the MTM stage 3 ECU for a pretty good price (along with the 5 bar fuel regulator). However, I have heard so many good things about the ABT chip being the best. I am also interested in the X chip as well. Has anybody has experience with all three or can make any suggestions about which one to use? Is the ABT much better than the MTM? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

If I were in your shoes, I would go MTM Stage III.

Default same here, however I did all the test with all the chip you mention

here the link. all this test is base on the M box, in addition to this, I did ran the APR chip with race gas and as well as APR race mode with race gas. APR chip on the race gas feel the same as it on pump gas. APR race mode with race gas a little faster then X and slower then XR and ABT on the race gas. IF I were you I will try to get me MTM stage 3

https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/1166750.phtml</a

Default Yep I agree. If you can get it for a good price than do it. I heard its great.

I wanted to go MTM stage 3 when I had my MTM but it was just to much money.

Ive had all three ECU and I think ABT is by far the best. It was the most powerful of the 3 and very smooth. In second would be the MTM stage1 even though its slower than the X but it is so much smoother than the X. I had very bad experience with the GIAC. But thats just me.

MTM stage 3 all the way, if not then the ABT for sure.

Abt may be a bit faster, but I like MTM.

Default I loved my MTM. I didnt want to get rid of it but Hoppen didnt want to help me out.

even thought I have the MTM DPs, Cats and Cat Back from them. They wouldnt give me a discount on the upgrade for the stage 3. All they had to do was Flash my ECU.

Default Yeah that sucks.

How much did they ask for the stage 3 ECU? I would also need MTM DPs and a new catback if I go stage 3. Too much money.

Default You won't be dissappointed with either....

I personally run Abt. No problems/great performance 20K+.
