Default Bit of a vent, advice for AOA issue appreciated (TIA)..

greetings, posted yesterday a CPO/AOA issue:

bought perfect car CPO, at 50k service had blown speaker, dealer found aftermarket wiring concealed that previous owner hooked up amp/sub or something -- deny claim on speaker

called AOA last night, tell situation, deny it again today

think it's worth pursuing? (i.e. write a letter), if so, who have/would you write to, i got name of the reps. boss (a Mr. Harris)

not a $ issue to me at all, it's the principle that they don't believe me... i guess it's no where near as big of deal as finding car had been chipped

perhaps i'm overeacting, thanks for any input

Default I wrote letters and called for 2 months before AoA paid my $1000 rental bill.

In the end I threatened a lawsuit in a letter I wrote to the BBB, president of the dealer, and VP of AOA (the ex-VP Axel Mees). I sent all letters registered mail, and sure enough, an assistant to Mr. Mees called me back, discussed the issue, but had no problems paying it right away.

Shame it takes busting someone's ***** that hard to get them to step up to their end of the bargain.

Pursue it, you will win.

Default no prob. In the end it may seem like the effort > result, even in my case it did.

And I don't make big bucks, $1000 is a LOT to me. But after all that effort I really almost gave up. The principle of them standing by what they sell/service will get you to the end you want. Good luck.
