I still have it and love driving it when the S4 is on stands.
BTW, your car looked sweet when I was behind you last night on the freeway. Damn impressive.

The '86 GT Coupe, then '96 A4 (Emerald), then '97 A4. It's a disease I tell you, a disease.

I had those three all simultaneously for about 48hrs so I had to take some pictures. It was about 20 degrees at the time and about 7:30 in the morning before going to work. My neighbors thought I was nuts manuevering the cars around in the culdesac for the shots. I have a feeling they were (are) right.
I bought the GT Coupe for $3150 just before I graduated from GA Tech in '94. My mom drives it now. It has over 250,000 miles on it, and has been fitted with a '87 5000 engine with 10:1 compression so it's running closer to 140hp instead of the stock 126hp.
I bought the '96 A4 next in '98 and loved it, but it was automatic. I recently sold it to my ex-gf. I bought the '97 A4 because it was a 5spd, but I made the crucial error: I test drove a S4. Big mistake. The search was on for a good deal on a used one. I bought my S4 through a fellow AWer, Innovator, whom many of you know. The car has been great so far with few worries. I'm over 50,000 miles now, and plan to drive her for a long time.....well until some other 4-ringed car peaks my fancy.

This was my A4...

I traded her in because I was going to hit a brick wall in terms of the torque handicapped Tiptronic that I have to drive. I do miss my nimble 1.8T occasionally.
