Blizzard 2000 has hit NE. That AWD is great!!
Finally got to drive my s4 in some real snow!! I have 16" Ronals with P210A tires. The car handled really well in both hard packed snow/ice and in the loose 12" of snow on some unplowed roads. I pushed things a little bit to see how stable it would be. It went a little sideways under hard acceleration around corners, but when starting from a stopped position even under harder acceleration it is tough to get this car off a straight line! Audi's AWD system is really great!
On the highway, the passing lane was unplowed for most of my 20 mile commute through Southern NH. No problem for this car!! Of course this means that even in blizzard conditions, I will be capable of getting a speeding ticket! After a toll booth, traffic got tight and I had a Minivan right on my ***, way too close for these conditions. I did not want to tap the brakes, since we were both on snow covered roads. So the German Rear-Fog Light finally got a test. And it worked instantly!!! As soon as it lit up, there was a 2 car length gap behind me. I turned it off when he backed away just so he knew it was meant specifically for him. He probably thinks its some kind of proximity detecor or something...!! Oh and the heated seat, perfect for this weather too! Let it snow!!!
