Default Bluetooth Kit HCB-30 Questions?

Just picked up a Sony/Ericsson T608...only CDMA Bluetooth phone on the market right now. Pretty sweet phone!

So I have read the forums and found some conflicting posts. Some have said they were able to get everyting working fine and others have said they had to replace the stock mic with the SE provided mic. What is the scoop.

I was thinking that all it would entail to install the HCB-30 into the trunk connecting to the DB25 cable and RJ45, then run the Bluetooth remote from the RJ45 in the Console. My S4 had the Phone option and I have already removed the antenna and phone from the car but I'm thinking that the stock control unit is still in the trunk so will I need to disconnect it?

What is the issue with the stock Mic? Since I have the phone option can I use the control unit (if there is one).

Also is the SE mic better than the Stock mic?

Thanks in advance

mount the HCB mic on the backview mirror side, and main unit on the side of the glove box..

Default Why doesn't it work...does it require some hardware?

Why isn't it just a standard mic.

Default Ok...so you wired it like I explained...only difference -->

is you swapped the stock mic with the HCB-30 mic.

I wonder if the quality of the Stock Mic is better than the HCB-30?

Default This is exactly what I plan on doing with my t608 except unit will not be in the trunk

I have heard of problems with bluetooth and only a few feet away so I am planning on putting it somewhere upfront to minimize distance as much as possible. Also I wonder if If I should get Parrot instead. Have you seen this one before?

Parrot bluetooth car kit

Default Is this new Hadn't heard of it...looks around quite a bit but I'm on Sprint so wouldn't help anyways

Looks like a nice phone though...I actually prefer the flip phones.

Default Why wouldn't it work in the trunk...

Bluetooth should be good for 30ft...I'll do some testing as I plan on getting a bluetooth dongle first...but It should work...

Unless the T608 has poor reception?

I have heard of the Parrot but I figured I would stick with the Sony/Ericsson since a friend had good experience with it...plus I like the simplicity of the controller.

Yes, it's new but Verizon crippled it. No sync from PC, no picture transfer over BT.
