Default boost dropoff at shifts

I'm just wondering what can be done to lessen the significant drop in boost between shifts. It seems my car looses boost faster that any other turbo vehicle I've owned. I know that the SRT-4 for example has a stage 1 ecm upgrade that does a good job of keeping boost up between shifts. I'm not sure how they do this but if it can be done on a Neon we should be able to do it. I think they have BOV's though if that makes much of a difference.

My car is running well, running 13.0's in the 1/4 on pump gas with stage 2+. 12's would be easy if my boost would not drop to near absolute vacuum between shifts.

Default do you have 710n's? i think they are the bpv's from the TT

if not you might want to try those as a cheap alternative, or if you believe that the most expensive solution is always the best, look on the tunerwebsites for bailey or forge diveeter valves.

Default I have Bailey's.

I noticed that when I installed them they made absolutely no difference.

Default If you want to keep boost up your going to need to keep the throttle plate open during your shift.

The boost drops off because the plate closes and the motor ends up causing a vacuum. Your car also uses dual bpv's to release all the pressure inside the IC tubes during your shift. Lets also not forget that your wastegates are also controlled by the ecu.

If you want the boost to stay out of vacuum you need to start shifting with the throttle at WOT, other wise just get used to seeing vacuum between shifts.
