Default Bought a 01 S4 Avant New from Dealer...Question...
Since the car has been sitting on the lot for so long (about 1 1/2 years) should I request them to change the oil? Or should I leave the breakin oil that is in the car now in the car?

Should I ask for new break in oil, or put in some Mobil 0W-30?

If you can get the break in oil by all means get it.

non synthetic oils can become acidic over time unless they are regularly used (heated up)

The final vote seems to be get that old oil out and replace it with breakin oil (choice 1)or mobil

Make sure they change the brake fluid soon. Schedule is 2 yrs.
