Bought new air compressor. Need help w/pressure test
AWE instructions say, "Unclip the PCV damper from Y-pipe (at point B in Figure 2) by squeezing the clip.
Close the PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) branch off the Y-pipe with the vinyl cap and hose clamp. Slip the hose clamp over the cap and tighten fully."
OK, I detached the black PVC damper from the Y-pipe and capped the open port on the Y-pipe. The open port of the (removed) PVC damper is leaking air. Is that normal? I assume the PVC is like other cars, where it shouldn't leak boost pressure back into the Y-pipe.
thanks

It doesn't quite go away. You just can't hear it because it now "exhales" through the oil filler.
It's normal blow by from pressurizing one or more combustion chambers where the intake valve is open.

Normal...
What is happening is that the pressure that is leaking past the throttle body into the manifold goes out the back of the manifold into the spider hose. One of the outlets of the spider hose is that PCV valve.

My mistake, crankcase and cylinder heads.
The pressure bleeds past the throttle body into the intake manifold and then into the cylinder heads/crankcase.
